Lease Renewals
Just say no! To moving, that is. If your lease is due to expire this season, there’s no reason to look any further. We’ll take care of all the hassles of lawn mowing, the endless hours of weeding and pruning, and you can enjoy the summer carefree with no worries. Soak up the summer sun at the pool, hit the tennis courts, or keep fit in the air conditioned fitness center. Feel free to call the office with any questions about your renewal, and we look forward to spending another great year with you.
The ABC’s Of Referrals
- Always tell someone who is looking for a new home to come visit us.
- Be sure that your referral lets us know up-front that you sent him or her.
- Collect your referral fee of $300 when your referral signs a lease and moves in. Please call or stop by the office to learn more about the Resident Referral Program.
ACH Debit
There are so many things to do at the beginning of each month. Perhaps you planned a vacation, spent a busy week at the office or even faced the unexpected. With so many things to do and remember, we understand that you may occasionally forget to make your rental payment by the due date. As you know, late fees are assessed after the fifth of the month. Give yourself a break and sign up for the ACH Debit program. Your rent will automatically be deducted from your account on the third of each month, saving you time and money. Cleaning Facts
Did you know that:
- If your home is anything like the average U.S. home, you
generate more than 20 pounds of household hazardous waste each year (the EPA designates toilet cleaners, tub and tile cleaners, oven cleaners, and bleach as hazardous waste).
- Organic pollutants found in many common cleaners and
even air fresheners are two to five times higher inside your home than out.
- Common bleach is the #1 household chemical involved
in poisoning.
- Over 90% of poison exposures happen at home.
Cleaning Tips
- Use “Clean” soaps, detergents, de-greasers and all-purpose cleaners that are non-toxic and biodegradable. There are several great products on the market.
- Or, stock up on a few safe, simple ingredients that can be used in most cleaning situations. Soap, water, baking soda, vinegar, lemon juice, borax, and a coarse scrubbing sponge can take care of most household cleaning needs.
- For an effective glass cleaner, use a mixture of half white vinegar and half water.
- To clean up mildew and mold, use a mixture of lemon juice or white vinegar and salt.
- A paste of baking soda, salt, and hot water makes a great oven cleaner.
- If your sink or drain is clogged, do not use a drain cleaner, which likely contains lye, hydrochloric acid, and sulfuric acid. Drain cleaners also cause problems with plumbing. Simply contact our office and our maintenance team will be happy to correct the problem.

AIR CONDITIONER TIPS:
- During the hot months, do not turn your air conditioner off while you’re gone during the day. Set it on 78 degrees.
- Keep your drapes or blinds closed during the hot part of the day.

Have You Seen the Light? You soon will because daylight-savings time begins on Sunday, March 9. Welcome the long days of summer by remembering to turn your clocks ahead one hour at 2:00 a.m. If you can’t recall which way to set your clock, Merrifield at Dunn Loring Station reminds you to use the popular saying “spring ahead, fall back.”
